Bach flower remedy was found by the famous British researcher and doctor Edward Bach (1886-1936) in England in the late 1920s and in the beginning of the 1930s. This remedy is now referred to as the energy medicine. Bach, who was a brilliant microbiologist and histopathology researcher focused on homeopathy. According to Bach’s approach, treating the symptoms is not enough; patients should discover the real cause of their illness for an affective cure.
Dr. Bach believed that the psychological state is the main cause of diseases, taking into account the body, mind and soul as a one whole unit when treating the patient. Thus, Dr, Bach started to develop a complete medical system based on his personal approach and vision. Giving up his usual profession as a doctor, he started researching the new field, a thing which took him back to the English countryside. He was intuitively guided that the therapy and treatment would be by flowers and plants.
One day while walking Dr, Bach noticed that the dewdrops on flowers and plants, after being heated by the sun, can transfer its curative properties to flowers.
His intuition was so strong that he could tell the effect of each flower by simply holding or smelling it. After a lot of hard work, Dr. Bach was able to find 38 extracts of various flowers and their therapeutic effects which are known today as Bach’s Flowers extracts.
Bach was a spiritual man. His philosophy states that each sickness is directly linked to a psychological reason. In other words, a person might know that he is sick noticing some physical symptoms which are in fact an indication of a conflict between his spiritual souls and physical body. The harmony between our immortal bodies and soul grantees us with a good health, once we lose the balance, we became sick.
